“with all that crazy shit you do You must have such a strong core!”

You’ve probably heard this before, and you say thank you and everything but deep down you’re like “DO I have a strong core?”… and you may find yourself wondering:

🤔 Am I using the right muscles for the right things?

🤔 Should I be working my core outside the studio? Or is conditioning in class enough?

🤔 Basic sit ups are too easy, but anything else is too challenging-what’s up with that?

🤔 From what I read I have a weak pelvic floor, does that effect my core function?

🤔 Am I supposed to do isometric exercises like planks, or “crunches” like leg raises?

🤔 What IS core stabilization? Is that better than “working your abs?”

🤔 What’s with the demonization of the “belly button to spine” cue?

THis you? Read on…
